This blog entry from a mom who delivered a perfect baby (who happened to have Down Syndrome) was posted on my expecting board. It's very touching, but be warned, you will be weeping. (If you're at work I recommend turning the music off because that only adds to the emotional-ness of it.)

The story and photographs are beautiful.

Just wanted to thank you for posting the link to Kelle's website. I was overcome with emotion as I read Baby Nella's birth story. (Her photographs are amazing and add so much to the post.)

I can't even imagine the shock that must have coursed thru her body when she received a gift different than the one she was expecting, yet just as beautiful.

We have been told that I am at increased risk for delivering our baby with Trisomy 21 or Down's Syndrome. While the initial blood work results were a shock, I have slowly been coming to terms with the idea. Kelle's honest feelings have helped me gain some perspective.

Thanks,
Valerie
