Hi. I am 4 weeks pregnant at age 46. Our DD is 2 1/2 so I had her when I was 43. My husband and I tried most of last year to conceive - using the temperature/calendar, but it never happened. We went on our first vacation w/o DD in May - and bam - we got pregnant! I am excited but also worried about miscarriage, genetic problems, other problems, etc. Our DD was born on her due date, healthy with no problems although I did have gestational diabetes. I kept it in check with diet.
I feel pretty good - some irregular nausea and some occasional lower abdominal "pangs". My boobs were really sore but as of the last couple of days not so much. This sort of worries me. I did not have much morning sickness with DD either, though. I go to the doctor Monday for blood work and check hormones, etc. If my progesterone is low could that cause my boobs to stop hurting? All that was normal with DD and I don't remember details from those tests...
So we have not told anyone yet - want to be cautious and wait. I let the genetic testing get to me last time and won't fret about it this time - although we will have it done. We are "planners". With our DD, they said her leg bone was too long or maybe too short, whatever the negative way is and that her head was "large" . We had the amnio done and she was perfectly normal AND she has an average size head!
Anyway I enjoyed this board back then and looking forward learning more from everyone.
