Congrats Krista!!!

All the time, effort and worry and you end up with two babies!!! That is FANTASTIC!!! Do you have any vibes if the babies are boys or girls...or one of each?

Thanks Renee. My vibes about the genders are boy and girl. I think that is my hope. I would even be happy with two boys. I really would prefer not to have two girls,

Thanks Cheryl. I see from your ticker that we are pretty close in terms of EDD. You must feel relief at getting to the end of the first trimester...I know I will next Wednesday.

Well, how nice to see my old friend Carol again. I can't believe that you are almost to the end with number SEVEN. Seems like just yesterday that you had number six (though I do recall it was in the winter/early spring so it was more like a year and a half ago). My, how time flies when TTC!

Glad you are doing well.

The NT was good. Both babies look like they should -- and I even saw their little fingers. Eli saw the U/S pic and said "they are mine" and "they are cute". They are cue since they look just like babies. It is strange to see a fully formed baby the size of a plum. No wonder it's called the miracle of birth.

Congratulations...what exciting news!

I have walked a similar road in experiencing infertility or "sub"fertility! That BFP is all the more special!

Interesting that you had the NT Scan...all the lit that I've read suggests that there can be a lot of false positive readings due to the nature of twins. So glad to hear that you had a good reading!

Can't wait to follow you on this journey! Due to my miscarriage history, I always breathe a huge sigh of relief around weeks 12/13!

Blessings,

Thanks Valerie. I wondered the same thing about NT and twins -- apparently not all of the soft markers are the same for twins, but you can get some good infofrom the IPS (integrated prenatal screening). They are fraternal and apparently, these tests are much more difficult with identicals....not sure why. 7 more days till trimester two.

The babies looked good to me -- I still do have to wait to see what the results tell me after the week 16 blood work and follow up appointment. Sometimes, I think there are too many tests.

What great news -- I'm very happy for you! Twins, wow!! What does your son say about it??

Enjoy your pregnancy -- I hope you will be full of good feelings.

Thanks Molly. My son is happy "we are having two babies". He keeps telling everyone: checkout girl, daycare teacher, person on the street that "my mom is having twins" -- I don't look PG when dressed, so the person being told the news by Eli gives me the once over and then looks questioningly at both of us -- then I have to tell them he is right. I gave DH a hard time the other day about telling everyone (I just hit 12 weeks yesterday) and then my son says "why?, I tell everyone". I guess you can say he is pretty
