My results are back....

The combined u/s and bloodwork results came back as 1:296 for Downs and 1:26,000 for Trisomy 18. I guess I'm pretty happy with the results. I know the dr thought everything looked good on the u/s. The genetic counciler said:

Great results! I'm hoping for a boy for you too. I'm having a Level II u/s and amnio on Nov. 8th (they have the genetic counselor appt. scheduled for that day too.) I'm glad to know what I'll be expecting.

My level ll is scheduled on DEC 3rd and if I choose, I can have the amnio done that day, too. I think I probably will have it done just, haven't made up my mind yet. Good Luck on Nov 8th!

I had to go in for an unexpected visit on Monday, so I found out that the NF measurement was 1.9mm. Still W/I normal limits, right?

That's great to hear about your grandson, that he is fine, but the screening didn't go so well. How are they doing now, have you heard from them?


What are you having done? The 1st trimester screen? I still have not decided what I will do. I know even with a bad finding I would not abort the baby, but I would just like to be prepared ahead. I will be having the level ll u/s at 18 weeks on Dec 3rd and that is way too late to have an abortion as far as I'm concerned. From the results,
