Kim, you rest up and take good care of yourself and your SON! (How exciting!)

I'll be wishing good things for you...

I've been thinking about you alot lately. I can't immagine the pain of losing the baby at this stage of the game. You are one of the very few

Kim,

First of all--there's a big difference between you and me. You're younger AND you've given birth successfully multiple times. So don't worry about miscarrying. I truly think that makes all the difference in the world. If I had a baby when I was 34, I think it would've been easier for me to give birth to a live baby in my 40's--but my body doesn't know what it's supposed to do. Being pregnant is foreign for me--it's NOT for you.

The fact that your docs caught this early on and put you on bedrest is a wonderful sign that you have a great chance! And so does your baby. I went to the ER the day before I lost my baby. At the ER, they said I was fine...but I saw the ultrasound and the baby wasn't moving... The doctor said he was probably asleep but I pretty much knew then that things were bad. I miscarried less than half a day later.

I truly think you and your baby are going to be fine...just keep on that bed rest until told otherwise!!! :-)

I didn't see the adoption story but I can tell you even the preliminary paperwork costs an arm and a leg. It would've cost us about $38,000 to adopt from Korea. Then it probably would've been another $6,000 for us to travel to pick up the baby. But, I am too old to meet their qualifications, so we're looking at other countries as well as domestic options. But it's all pretty darned expensive--and this isn't something insurance covers. Oh well.

Anyhow, please try to stay positive and try not to stress out (I know, easy for me to say). I'll be keeping you and your baby in my thoughts...

xxoo

Thanks Tonya. This is just my first day and it was a long one. The most I did was take a shower, watched TV and came online a little bit. I just can't think too far ahead. I have'nt talked with my boss yet about my job. I hope he will let me work at home some. I will be hurting financially if I don't have any income. Just my kids activities are so expensive let alone how expensive oil is now a days... You know how it is I'm sure. Everyone is in the same boat these days with the economy so bad. I'll have to make due for the sake of my little guy.

Wow, after 4 girls, you're going to wait to find out!!! How can you stand it? Maybe it's 2 boys, that would sure round out the household. I am still in shock that it is a boy. I didn't think my husband had any male genes! I was kind of hoping for another girl myself, but my girls are loving the idea of a boy. I have so much pink stuff from my last baby that it's going to be hard to get rid of it all. Oh well, I really just want the baby to be healthy.

After 4 children did they measure your cervix? One Dr thinks my cervix may just be normal due to multiple children,
