Level Two Ultrasound "turtle"

Well I had my Level II ultrasound and the baby is doing great. I knew through CVS that genetically everything was good, but the ultrasound showed all the organs were there, the heart had four valves, kidneys, liver, stomach, etc.

I had the CVS done at 11 weeks, they do it anywhere between 10 and 13 weeks with the results taking from 10-14 days. The test only shows genetic disposition, meaning no birth defects, organ problems, cleft palate OR spinal bifada (sp?) will show up, however it does test for 200 other genetic problems.

That's great Julie! I had to laugh about the turtle thing too...never knew they called it that! My mother wanted to start calling my baby "turtle" but from past experience, she always gave her grandchildren a nickname that followed them through childhood...and I couldn't imagine someone nicknaming my boy the reference for p****! Maybe I was being over protective??? LOL She'll have to think of something else ;-)

Glad your ultrasound went well...that's so exciting!
