Agonizing wait for results

I had a not great NT measurement during my 12 week scan. 3.2. At my hospital, for my age, anything above 3 is cause for concern. Although the peri who heads the prenatal high risk unit told me that usually below 3.5 is ok....but not always. He also said that an increased nuchal fold with normal

You'll be in my thoughts today. Please update us when you get the results. Will you be having the 20 week echocardiogram to scan for heart formation, etc.? They try to check for other physical conditions such as cleft palate/lip, digits, limbs, organs, etc.. I had it done with both my girls and will do so with this one, too so we (hopefully) have peace of mind that everything is most likely OK. I know the wait is agonizing -- wish I could do something to keep you occupied until you get the call..... Best wishes to you. I look forward to seeing your update.

Hi Jeanne - I still lurk here :-) and wanted to send my P & PT's for a positive outcome. You have been through so much already you definitely deserve some good news and a H & H pregnancy. Please KUP as soon as you know anything.

Hugs,
Tiffany

Thank you everyone for your kind words. We got good news that the FISH results were negative for any abnormalities. Phew. Now we just need to keep an eye out for any other issues that might have caused the NT to be a little on the high side. I am relieved to say the least.

We also found out we're having a boy. My daughter will be a little bummed but I will emphasize how great it will be to be the only princess in the house! LOL

What great news! Thanks so much for updating us! I checked in a few times today, too, hoping to see your update so thanks for posting. Our oldest daughter (who just turned 5) is NOT excited about our new baby at all. She doesn't care whether it's a boy or a girl, she just doesn't want it. Period. Ugh. She didn't want her sister, either, (who's now 22 mos) and it was just within the last two months or so that she started accepting her and being nice to her. So I can relate to your daughter being a bit bummed. I hope she adjusts quickly to the idea of having another brother. Best wishes and I hope things continue to go well for all of you.
