My doctor prescribed OB complete 400. I have taken them for 2 days and i started itching all over my body. Now i have just wasted $50. I want to try another brand but don't want to waste my money again ;-)

What are you ladies taking?

I'm taking Centrum Materna but my pharmacist told me most store brands/generics are equivalent to the brand names. I've never taken any script prenatals, just OTC ones. Maybe mention your reaction to your doc and take your vitamin bottle with you to your next appointment (or even call his/her office). Maybe s/he'll have an idea of what's causing your reaction. In the early stages of pregnancy, folic acid is probably the single most important nutrient you can take for your baby since it greatly reduces the risk of the baby developing spina bifida. Perhaps you can take a folic acid supplement until you find a regular prenatal you're not allergic to. Best wishes to you.
