36 weeks, measuring big!

I had my 36 week visit today. I am measuring 41 weeks. I do tend to have big babies, so that is no surprise. My blood pressure was slightly up today and I had a trace amount of protein in my urine. I go for another NST on Friday, and my OB said to have them check my urine again to make sure that the protein isn't increasing. I am delivering on July 27 by c-section. I hope I make it! Anyway, other than feeling big and uncomfortable and some slight dizziness, I am doing well. Almost there!

Hi Carol. Just a few days behind you (but not in term of my belly-- they've moved beyond the measuring tape with me, because by now I'm sure I'd be measuring at least 41 weeks). If a c-sec looks likely, my doc said 39 weeks, but I'd push for sometime the first week in August. If he decides to come on his own before my next sizing u/s the 28th of this month, may attempt vaginal delivery. Either way, believe he'll be here in three more weeks at most, though part of me is actually kind of hoping it's by July 27th too-- maybe our babies will end up with the same birthday!

Best wishes.

Keep us posted on your BP, too, by the way.

Carol:

I hope you make it too! Wow - I'm only measuring 37 weeks. Besides, today I was told the baby is only about 5# - guess all the harping on me about gestational diabetes was for naught.

Take care of yourself - put your feet up and relax.

I'm glad you're feeling well aside from the typical late T3 ailments. I hope your BP stays down for the next few weeks -- you're so close! Only 12 more days..... : )

Thinking of you!

Hoping that blood pressure stays down and no more protein in the urine! I imagine that this is just your body's way of saying it's so very tired!!!

Keep us posted. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Well today my BP was good at the NST. It was 124/72 so it is back down again. I have been staying off my feet as much as possible. And he passed the NST first try. They told me they couldn't check my urine for protein at Maternal Fetal Medicine (which is a peri's office) I thought that was odd. But oh well. So far, so good. 11 days to go!
