Spit up through Nose?
| Sun, 10-19-2008 - 11:06am |
I'm extremely worried. My 3 1/2 week old daughter has been spitting up through her nose. The pediatrician said it's normal but she's done it twice this morning. I burp her and keep her upright for at least 30 mins. after she eats but she still spits up through her mouth and nose.
I also feed her in an upright position.
This does not sound normal to me.
Hi Ricci,
As the other gals said, It's normal. My Daughter Kimberlee who is now 5 mos old used to spit up thru her nose all the time when she was a new born. Thru the months its slowed down, now Only once in a great while she will spit up out her nose.
Anyways, in time it will subside...

Dont worry - it will pass. My little Tom's milk came back up through his mouth and nose day and night. From weeks 2 to 4 he would start snoring during the second part of the night. I thought he had a cold, but later realised that it was probably the milk drying up in his nostrils (because he doesnt drink as much at night) and causing the snoring. Now at nearly 6 weeks he just spits up through his mouth and has stopped snoring!
