I have been so utterly wiped out the past couple weeks.

Ahhh, the 110 degree heat and sleeping on the sofa alone sounds like it would take its toll, never mind the c-section. And yeah, probably the Percocet too. Glad to hear you're feeling better now.

Maybe it could be the c-section-- although I'm bouncing back pretty quickly from mine, this was my first, and I've heard the recovery is harder if you've had one or more before (although my own mom had four and doesn't remember having very difficult recoveries). I suspect all the demand on you may also be playing a role-- again, I don't have other kiddos and feel I've had a relatively easy time of it with this guy so far, whereas you have a nest full.

In any case, wishing you a much speedier recovery from here. It probably won't be long until you start feeling like yourself again. Of course we'd all love to see a pic (I hope I didn't rib you too much about that), but get to it when you can.

Oh, Robynne, I hope you feel better soon! I suspect your delayed recovery is due more to having had a C section than it is age. Don't worry about the pics -- you'll get to them when you feel up to it. For now, worry about you, your new baby, and the rest of your family. I hope you gain some energy soon. Although, even though I didn't have a C section this time around, I remember thinking for three or four weeks after having Joey "When will I start to feel like myself again???". It eventually happened but I think I was pushing seven weeks before my body starting feeling like it was returning to "normal". Hang in there. I'll be thinking of you.
