We got a heartbeat!

It's funny, you know, the way that dr's don't trust a woman listening to her body. With Sam they wouldn't trust that I ovulate late and I think they induced him too early (which was a whole nightmare in itself). This time I got smart and I told the nurse my lmp, but I also told her to lie on my forms and say it was the 16th of dec instead of the 12, but I believe "my ovulation day" to be Dec 30 and she said she would, pending my 1st ultrasound. Well, according to the doc I should be 7wk6d but according to me I should be 7wk1d AND I WAS RIGHT! Dead on the money! So...I'm glad I told her because otherwise I think I would be up all night wondering why I was measuring small, but I'm pretty sure that everything is fine. I got to see the heartbeat - actually WE got to see it. My husband, my 8 year old daughter (to whom I have recently disclosed my m/c history to and what it all entails), and my 10 month old son were all there. It was so nice not to be doing that alone!

Anyway, just wanted to share the wonderful news...thanks for listening and for your votes of confidence.

I am SOOOO happy for you! Yey! This is so great! I understand about still being nervous. I won't feel 100% better until 12 weeks, but I am still feeling surprisingly confident. I'm really glad that your family was there to share that special moment with you. I'm so excited for you! Here's to a H&H 9 months!

P.S. I don't know my due date. My dr. didn't give me one at the u/s. I just know how far along I am because I didn't have a period after the m/c. What is your due date? That should definitely help me to figure out mine! Okay thanks again.

You're right, I'm sure. I have short cycles and I was 3 weeks "early" with my DD. Really I wasn't that early because I have cycles 8 days shorter then the average person. Trust yourself, I'm sure you are dead on the money.

Congratulations!! that's such wonderful news!! grow baby grow.....Karen

Misty,

Congratulations!!!! I'm so happy for you and your family. It must have been really special to share that wonderful moment together. Keep listening to your body, and thinking postive thoughts. I hope this is a healthy, happy, trouble free pregnancy from here on out.
