Hi Meegan, I went through what sounds to be pretty similar last week. My spotting lasted for about 2days along with some cramping. I am definatly glad that I called the dr. He ordered a ultra sound ( i was 5wk 6d along ) and we saw a strong hb. Do what eased your mind... Good luck to you! Keep us posted...

Hi Meegan,

Let me tell you. with my DD I bled a lot, like a pad every 1/2 hour, more then my AF. I know it's very scary, especially when you've had a m/c before, but all bleeding is not a bad sign. Having said that, I would call your DR and ask them for an U/S. They normally will have you come right in at the first sight of blood. You really need it to put your mind at ease.

I know it's so scary. Please try and relax. Your Hcg levels are great, that's very promising.

My thoughts are with you. Let us know if you get in for an U/S.

Hang in there....Karen

Meegan,

I don't have any experience with spotting, but I'm so sorry to hear you are going throught this uncertain time. Everyone says try and relax and really that's the best thing you can do for you and your little bean. If what helps you relax is a visit to the dr for an u/s, then I'd say go for it.

Whatever you decide, please give us an update with how things progress. Hugs & Good luck!

I have had spotting and real bleeding with all of my pgs... (DS, m/c and this one due any day now!)

It is totally nerve wrecking! I would definitely ask for more blood work... but after hcg levels reach about 1200, they stop doubling so quickly, so you dont want to let those scare you.

You could ask for an u/s after 6wks, but they may or may not even see anything that early and you would still be left in limbo.

I always call to report any bleeding or spotting... I think it keeps you on the forefront of their minds!

Good luck!

Meegan,
I'm so sorry that the spotting is being persistant. I cannot say to take it easy and not to worry, as I know that's impossible. But maybe you should try to get your u/s moved up, to ease your mind. I began spotting around the same time as you, this is my first pg and one m/c before it. Anyhow, my spotting has come and gone, so far, the entire time. I am now almost 17weeks (tomorrow) and my spotting has finally seemed to let up. I still freak out weekly, because I'm so afraid to lose this little baby. But all I can say is keep your head up, keep your hope, and call your doctor and let her/him know your concerns. Good luck, and keep us posted.

Thank You for all the words of kindness & encouragement!

I did talk to my Dr's office today and they said that since I was having no cramping or lower back pain and no red blood that I most likely had nothing to worry about.
