congrats on seeing the hearbeat! There is no need to put into words how that feels because I remember the same feeling. I can't remember when the 2nd trimester begins. I think it is either 12 or 14 weeks depending on if you use LMP or Conception date to determine the weeks of pregnancy.
That's great news. I remember it felt so surreal to me that I was ACTUALLY going to have this baby. I had had so many losses prior to my DD that I just couldn't grasp it at first. It was PURE JOY though.
I'm so happy for you. Keep up the good work Mommy and Baby.....take care...Karen
Isn't it the most wonderful feeling! I'm so happy that you're able to enjoy this part of the pregnancy. It's something I wish for everyone on this board. Keep that postivie feeling close to your heart.
I was wondering about the beginning of the second tri as well and my mother said this... "If you divide 40 (#of weeks) by 3 (# of trimesters) you get roughly 13 and a half. So that means the second tri starts half way into the 13 week- explaining why some books say 13 weeks and others 14 weeks." I'd say choose the number you like best and celebrate when you get there. I'm overly cautious so I'm going with 14.
