CVS results- a baby GIRL!!!!!! (Karen)

I just got my CVS results and we are having a chromosonally normal GIRL!!!! I am in complete shock and super excited!!! I won't be able to post on this part anymore since tomorrow- our girl is 13 weeks and we're in the second trimester!! Karen, I am so thrilled!! I am in shock since I was mentally preparing for a boy - my siblings all had boys.. I go in for an Ob appt next week to make sure the CVS risk is "over" (over 2 weeks then).. but today i went in to see the high risk dr- fortunately he said I would not need heparin but given my history if I had shown up after my BFP they would have given me heparin until 20 weeks just in case. But in his opinion, there was no reason to do this now that I'm out of the first trimester.. He did tell me that if they saw the baby was not growing on time or loss of fluid, they would put me on. so I know now what to look for.. This dr also did an u/s and our girl was exactly at the development date she should be.. he said it all looked normal for now.. unfortunately he did give me a story of a woman who had everything all fine but at the 20 week u/;s had seen severe heart defects and she chose to terminate since it was that severe.. geez, thanks for that story buddy!

Anyway- I wanted to share the good news!!! i have another appt next week (14 week0- then at 16 w and then 18w.. I'm going in a lot! (this is my OB's orders)..

I hope you're having a great time with your grandma and Ella- I'm having "my" Ella too!:)

Congratulations on your healthy baby girl! And don't listen to that doctor. People love to tell horror stories to pg women. You are going to have a beautiful, healthy daughter :)

Thanks Stacy.. you are right about those stories.. i told a friend today who was really actually concerned once he learned i had 4 m/c's and so on.. anyway- he slipped out of a pregnancy loss at 5 months- all i can say is "i don't want to hear a story like that"- and he quickly apologized..

Outstanding news!! I'm checking real quick from my sisters in Boston. I'm so thrilled for you but not surprised...I just knew this was YOUR time. Girls are strong and she'll make it and be your joy....just like my Ella. I'm so so happy for you.

Talk more soon....get home Monday night. Visit going well but sad....might be the last time I see my Gram. I'm just not ready for this even though I'm so blessed to have had her this long.
