Hi,

I am new to this board. I am 4wk 1 day pregnant. It is such a blessing since I only m/c in March. This time I tested positive 3 days before AF was due. I didn't test pos. last time until 2 days after my missed period. I am hoping that this means that this pregnancy is stronger. It is so hard though because I am so scared to m/c again. I have my 1st prenatal appt. on June 8th. I just feel like it is so far away.

I have had much stronger nausea this time but then today I had it bad this morning and then after lunch it went away. Now I'm worried because for the last 3 days it lasted all day long. Can this happen and still have everything be okay? I'm so worried it is a bad sign. I know I'm probally just over analyzing everything but it's so hard not to.

So glad to find some women who know how I feel.

Hi Chelsea and welcome to the board! Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Morning sickness .... or all-day sickness... is perfectly normal! Sometimes it can come and go in waves... some days you might not have it at all... and some days it will seem like it's never going to go away. I hope that it doesn't stick around all day for you though.. that is just miserable!

Wishing you a happy and healthy nine months!

Hi Brandi,

Thanks for your reply. I really am so glad to have found this board. I'm going crazy being scared to m/c again. I called my Dr. and moved up my first appt. to this afternoon. I hope they will give me a HCG test today and Wed. to make sure my numbers are doubling. I think that will help me to feel more at ease.

By they way, your Baby is due on my birthday! It is my brother's (he is 20 years younger than I) birthday too!

Thanks again.

Chelsea,

Was wondering how you're doing!?! How did that appointment go? Are you still worrying about m/s? I really don't think it means all that much. I didn't have any with my first pg (and loss) and I still didn't have any with this one. So far so good. Hope that gives you some reassurance. Please update us on how you are.

Best wishes,

Capri

I'm so happy to update that I had my first ultrasound today and we saw a heartbeat and the baby is even measuring one day ahead of schedule! We are 8 weeks. Still having not much nausea but at least a tiny bit. I feel on top of the world now that we saw a heartbeat.

Thanks for all the replies.

Chelsea,
I got pregnant one month after my first miscarriage. I was so worried through the entire pregnancy because I had no symptoms at all until; around nine weeks and they only lasted a couple of weeks. I cried my whole pregnancy and waited for the other shoe to drop. It never happened. I delivered a healthy baby boy after nine months of a basically symptom free pregnancy.
The last time I was pregnant, I didn't even test positive until I was 16 days late, and I went on to have a healthy baby girl. Don't focus so much on symptoms because they fluctuate with your hormone levels and your body might be better at handling those hormones on certain days.
