Congrats on another great appt! I was on Lovenox during my pg with Maggie. I started it at 15 wks, when my OB got my lab results from my rheumatologist. I also had to start seeing a high-risk OB too. Glad they're going to monitor you very closely.
I had a doppler too and loved it. I heard Maggie's HB for the first time at 9w3d (which was EXACTLY, to the day, when I had my m/c before)--wild, huh? I bet you'll be able to hear it next week since you're farther along AND you've had kids before so you already know what you're listening for.
Congrats!! This sounds very very hopeful for you!!! I'll be thinking of you these coming weeks, lots of sticky vibes. I hope the time goes quickly for you until your appts. Mine isn't until 8/4. I'll keep you company waiting.
I rented a doppler at 11 weeks with my last pregnancy and was able to hear the heartbeat. I couldn't find it the very first time I tried, but then I came here and someone helped me out. I was looking too high. After that I could usually find it within 3-4 minutes. I'm going to wait until my next appt and see how everything is then. If there's still a heartbeat, then I'll probably rent one again. Hopefully I won't need it quite as long as I did last time (11 weeks to 26 weeks).
Just remember to not let yourself panic if you don't find it right away.
WOW LYNN!!! I am so happy and hopeful for you -- congratulations! I am flinging you all the glue, tape, poster putty, tar, anything sticky I can think of. Stick baby stick! Keep us posted, I can't wait for your updates.
Sorry to be checking in late here. But very happy to hear you had such a positive appt. and are feeling hopeful. Keep those positive thoughts flowing!!! Before you know it the 1T roller coaster ride will finally be over. I hated the long stretches between appt. too. During my 2T I waited 5 weeks between appts, nearly drove me crazy. Hang in there. At least when you do have them you'll have a number of opportunities to see your little one on u/s. Not everyone gets that. Yay for you and your bean!
