WHEW! Another good u/s today!

Just got back from my u/s. Baby measures exactly to my dates and has grown each week I've seen him/her on the u/s. This morning I took a video tape and initially I thought the tech had it rolling as she was measuring, etc. Baby moved a few times -- nothing big, but definate movement. That was really cool! Then a little while later the tech goes, "ok I'm going to roll your tape now!" WHAT?? It wasn't rolling before??? Of course when the tape was rolling, baby was sleeping soundly and no movement. Grrr. Just like DH -- sleep, sleep, sleep!!!! HR was 163 today. (Last week she said 170 -- is this bad that it dropped in a weeks time???)

Don't know when my next u/s will be. OMGosh, I will have to bring that up to dr. next Friday when I see him -- I HAVE to see baby again in a few weeks to know it is still well!! I think I'll have one around 13 weeks since I'm over 35 for one of those tests (can't remember which one but I've read alot of posts where women get a scan around this time to test neck or something).

Hey Tiffany
What great news. Mine is at 3pm so I have a looooong wait and am really anxious.

The nuchal translucency u/s has to be done by 13 wk 6 days... a bit earlier is better. They are usually done by a specialist tech so you have to schedule them a week or so in advance. My OB does the screen with a couple of blood tests for greater accuracy.

I hope mine goes as well as yours (and the slight variation in h/b is nothing to be alarmed about - just as yours varies with activity, so does the baby's!)

WOO HOO Tiffany!!! Congrats on the wonderful u/s! Don't worry about the hb flucuating a few beats....babes do that. It goes lower when they sleep too. Plus...my beans always been around 150. I bet you are having a girl...then again, my sensors have been off since I could have sworn Dawn was having a girl! :)

I have also read that as the beans get bigger their h/b will slow down a bit.

Shannon ~ I was thinking of you this a.m. and wondering when you were going today. I'm sure your appt will be great too. Make sure to update us!

Although I am breathing a little better today (!!), it sure is going to be a long 2-3 more weeks getting out of the 'danger zone'. Even though I really know the next 7 months will be tough getting through till this baby is here.

OH! And my stomach problem does not have an 'identifiable' cause (no bacteria, parasites, etc. That sounds so awful but after going to Mexico for 2 weeks, I was expecting anything! Turns out everything came back normal. Maybe my stomach troubles really are a form of m/s - just from opposite directions!
