Bad to Not Be Sensitive to Smells Yet??

I am a bit over 5 weeks and so far, no smells are bad and no food is yucky. Is this OK?
Steph

Consider yourself lucky, Steph! That's what I've been doing. I've only had one aversion to food or smells and that was really early on (about 6w or 7w) when DH made coffee one morning. I thought it was horrible smelling!
Since then I've not had any troubles at all. I have aversions to what some food "looks like" - DH ordered liver and onions at a restaurant on Friday and *BLAH!* I just couldn't stand to look at it (or even think about it).
Although, sometimes I do notice that things just don't taste the same as they had before, but that's it.
So apparently you and I are the rare ones in that we haven't gotten any aversions - hope it stays that way for you!

Hi Steph,
With my DS, I never really had any m/s, and any aversions to certain smells or foods didn't start to show up until I was 11-12w (smells had to be really disgusting, like a public bathroom, esp. if someone just did #2).

I am 10 weeks and never did have m/s or adversion to smells. I will say that my sense of smell has been very strong since early on -- like I can smell things I never used to be able to smell! But I never got sick or anything.
If your going to get m/s, it's still kind of early. Alot of women don't get sick until around 6 weeks or so, so you still have plenty of time!
Congratulations on your pregnancy!
