Oh Stepahanie! That is a great appointment!!!!!!!!!!

It sounds like mine! My appt was monday, hb of 164 or 167 (I cant remember which, I was just so excited!) and I was measuring 5 days behind and had a little blood in there by the baby. The docs assured me it was ok and would either "disolve" into me or come out in light spotting. But not to worry :)

Isn't that hb amazing...... just outstanding. Takes your breathe away.

Oh Stephanie,

That's such wonderful news!! I've been away from my desk all day and have been trying to get back here to check for your update. I'm glad things are going well and such a strong heartbeat!! I can just imagine how thrilled you and Rob were to see that!!

As for the bleeding, I don't know much about it. But if they were really concerned, they'd have you back in a matter of days, rather than weeks. Try to relax, and congratulations!!

Stephanie,

I had some "fluid" right above the gestational sac at my 5 week appt. The dr. said that I may have some spotting. I researched a lot and what it is, is a subchorianic hemorrage or hematoma, which is usually (supposed to be) harmless, is pretty common and usually resolves itself. It can become serious if its large, but its rare. Since then mine is gone and I did have a wee bit of spotting, it wasn't really spotting, it was more like what you're describing. If I didn't look for it, I wouldn't have probably noticed it. First it was little tiny specs of what looked like brown blood and then it got slightly pinker, but the whole thing lasted for maybe 2 days and it was gone. I still "look" for it but nothing for over a week now.

All the best to you and the bean and congrats on a great u/s.

When I was about 6 weeks, I started bleeding, but it wasn't brown spotting it was heavy (worse than AF) and constant for days.
