My baby's Heart Beats!!

After my May,05 mc I've been scared and anxious about this pg. I have been waiting patiently to see the heartbeat.
Well, Sunday I woke up POSITIVE I was going to have a second mc. So, after calling my doctor (who was reassuring-but still) my DH and I went to the ER in the hopes of having an US done.
I fibbed a *tiny* bit and said I had some light spotting. The other things were true-cramping that had been getting stronger and my pg symptoms seemed to be disappearing.
Seven hrs later I had an us. The tech didn't want my dh in the room but I pushed since we were hoping to see a heartbeat and I wanted him to see it. A few minuts later my dh asked, "is that a hb?" I immediately starting crying and sure enough, there was the heart beating furiously away! It was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
Ken was sooo excited (and this was the guy who wanted to wait 20wks to tell ANYONE) he started telling EVERYONE he knew in the ER (he works EMS) we were pg and we'd seen the heartbeat! He even told a coworker of his who has a REALLY big mouth!! It was so cute and wonderful. The last thing he said before fallign asleep last night was, "Wanna hear something cool? We saw our baby's heart beating!!"
I love him and our baby sooo much.
Anyways, I'm on bedrest for a few days-I'm excited to rest!!, and hoping I don't get fired for it. I don't really care though. My baby's way more important than a job that pays less then $9 an hour!

Congrats, Amanda!
Amanda,
I'm so glad that everything is fine. Are you on bedrest for the cramping that was going on?
You made me laugh when you described your DH and his reaction!! That's wonderful. I'm glad you were able to get him in the room for the u/s!

Yahoo! I'm not a fan of lying... but sometimes a mom's gotta do what a mom's gotta do! ;) Why on earth would the tech not want DH in the room with you? Duh!
So happy that things are going okay, Amanda!!
Operation Wee One is in Effect!
