SOOOO tired!

Today I slept for 12 hours!!! DH didn't wake me and I just kept on sleeping! I got up for a few hours then went back to bed to take an hour nap! Now I'm up and am just soo tired I want to be back in bed! Is there anything wrong with sleeping an entire day while pregnant? Is it bad for me and the baby to be so lazy? It doesn't help that my plans for this weekend are house cleaning and I am just not in the mood to clean! Plus it's been stormy outside and snuggling with my kittens under the warm covers just sounds soo nice! LOL
I am worried that if I'm this tired and lazy this early in pregnancy, what it going to happen to me later on when I actually get big, my back hurts, etc? It seems like I should be exercising and going about things as normal since it's not like I'm showing or anything. I know a lot is going on in my body, but is it normal to be so lazy the ENTIRE 1st trimester?? I never had this strong of symptoms with my previous pregnancies, so I'm glad to have them, but also worried that I'm being too lazy, maybe I should push myself to get out of bed and do stuff? Any tips from you ladies who've been here?
I've also completely lost my appetite, all I could stomach today was a couple cookies and some iced tea. By late night I usually want a sandwich or something and have sending DH out to get them for me, he's such a sweetie! I am trying to get protein in when I can, but I feel too sick to eat anything most of the time! At least I am happily sick, I've never been so happy to throw up first thing in the morning! I was like "Yay, we're having a baby! I have morning sickness! woohoo!" I'm sure you all know the feeling!

It's very normal to feel that tired, especially at the beginning. I slept, slept and slept when I was five to seven weeks pregnant. I just couldn't get enough sleep! Then, I started to feel better and more "energized" (for a pregnant woman, anyway) around 10 weeks. Mind you, every woman's pregnancy is different, but I'm sure you'll get some energy back before too long!

Good luck!

Hey Jen! I hear ya on the tired thing. My 1st tri was a rough one...I was SO tired, but belive it or not the 2nd tri holds more energy for most. Of course, by the end of the 3rd I was pretty darn cranky, but that is understandable 40 or so lbs later!

My advise...sleep when you can and don't feel guilty about it. You are growing a baby in there! It is 100% understandable! ((((HUGS)))
