When should I quit temping?

I'm not sure when to stop. I don't know if your bbt stays elevated throughout the entire pregnancy? Part of me thinks its good to temp so I can prepare myself if I drop below my coverline. Another part of me thinks I should quit b/c I worry if my temp falls a litte bit. My temp this morning (i hadn't been asleep for 3 hours, so not quite accurate) was 3/10 lower than the last temp i took a few days ago. Also it's inevitable that I will get up within 2 hours of my waking time to pee so the odds of me getting a completely accurate temp are slim to none. Charters, when did you stop temping?

Hi Melissa,

I stopped charting the day after I got my postive HPT. TO be honest I couldn't wait, my alram went off every morning at 5am and I was SO sick of taking my temp and hearing the thermometer beep-beep in the dark!!

I had to LOL at your question only because I cant seem to put my thermometer away myself. I am still temping. I freak out if it drops and cant wait till the next day to see if it goes back up. I think I will feel safe after my u/s next Tuesday. Since I have no symptoms (sore bb's) I think it helps me. Really its probably making me a bit crazier. I hope your able to step away. Maybe someone should come over here and steal mine from me. Anyone from nj willing to take it?????

STOP IT NOW!!!! You will drive yourself CRAZY!!! Plus, it doesn't even help in most cases. The first time I m/c'd my BBT never dropped. It dropped AFTER my D and C, when the hormones finaly left my body.
Stop after you have a confimed BFP.
There's no point in obsessing over temps anymore it will only make you worry more! Ella

You read my mind! I was totally thinking as I temped yet AGAIN this morning that we out to starty a Tempers Anonymous group b/c i can't quit! I just keep thinking it's right there, i might as well just do it even though at this point it probably makes no difference. I doubt our temps would even drop right away if we were going to m/c again b/c of all the hormones in our bodies. My last pregnancy (the m/c) i stopped temping in the a.m. shortly after my bfp so i don't know if it dropped or not. I also didn't make it this far along either. I just had to laugh at your post about tempers anonymous (sp?) that was too funny. you totally read my mind!
