Oh Erin! I am SOOO sorry!! Wish the dr's would see you sooner! That seems WAY too long for a PAL! Many (((HUGS))) and I am sending you SOOO many ~~~sticky and healthy baby ~~~ vibes!
Oh Erin, I completely hear you! I, too, have to deal with Tricare. I LOST it at about 8w when I felt like I was getting NO support from doctors. I had been seeing a civilian OB when I m/c'd and between then and the new pg, he stopped taking Tricare, so I had to go back to the MTF (the same one, in fact, that Navasha is going to). I called in tears that I wasn't being seen - add to it we were moving (transferring) in a few weeks and any appt I had in VA would have to be repeated in CT upon arrival. Luckily I was still a patient in the RE clinic and the secretary took pity on me and "snuck" me in for another u/s at 10w, right before we moved.
You are not alone. All I wanted was someone to treat me a little gentler because of my loss(es) (I m/c'd and had a D&C in October 2004 and had a chemical pregnancy in March 2005) - and no one was doing that!
I know it's not entirely the same - but you can always come here for support. From what I've heard it's not completely weird for docs to wait until after 8w for initial appts. Heck, most women don't even know they are pg until about that time. (Not us TTCAM gals though!) I wish they'd give you the attention you need right now, but remember - no cramping and no bleeding are a great thing - and unless you experience that, there's really no reason to think something could be wrong.
Hugs to you, sweetie! I hope the time flies for you!
I am with TRICARE as well.
Thanks, what a great idea!
