Short mommies - question for you!

Hi ladies ~
I just had a quick question and maybe it is absolutely ridiculous, but does being short make you show earlier?

YES! I am not quite 5'1" and I have always looked as if I was carrying twins while pregnant. When I came home from my first appt and announced I'd only gained 3 lbs my DH said, "REALLY? Because your belly is HUGE!".
The rough part is going to come down the road though.... breathing becomes quite difficult early on because all of your organs are squished in such a small space. Now, no offense to you tall girls because I know breathing is hard for you too, but even my taller girlfriends agreed that they has less trouble than I did. But the good news is that you'll run out of room in there and your baby will probably not want to stay any longer than necessary (my first 2 kids were early while my taller counterparts have all had late babies... but that's just MY theory!).
Hi. I'm 5'4" and I couldn't zip my pants after 8 weeks.
I am the same height and yes, I do think the shorter your waist is the earlier you show. With my son, I showed pretty soon and I lost weight during that pregnancy. With this one, I am showing much earlier than most people. So, you probably will get a tummy early. Good luck.
hi Bonnie,
After reading all these posts I don't think I'll ever show!! I'm 5'9" :)
I am 5'5" -- so not as short as you, but I show early. I do think height has a lot to do with it. Also, for me-- I have a little bit of left over baby fat that lays low on my tummy when I'm not pregnant. It's easy to hide-- just a little bit of a pooch from all the stretching the babies have done! But when I get pregnant again- my uterus pushes that pooch out and up, so my belly has a roundness to it as of about 8 weeks! So, I am already showing!! It's crazy! We're not telling everyone that we're expecting yet and yet it's a little hard to hide when you show early! LOL!

Hello Bonnie,
I am 5'2", I started out 25-35lbs overweight and I am 7w1d, I feel fatter, my belly looks like it is sticking out further to me, some of my pants are getting tighter, my DH says my belly is sticking out a little and I have gained a whooping 6lbs.
Hi, Bonnie - My BF is the same height as you. She's looked like she's 6 months pregnancy probably from day 1. The baby has no place to go but out in her tiny body!
