U/S this morning...everything ok

I had my first u/s at my doctor's office today. Everything is measuring right on schedule, hb 129. I could have stared at that little heart beating all day! It was definitely the most amazing thing I've ever seen. There was also no evidence of bleeding in my uterus, and the doctor said the spotting I've been having is normal for this early stage of pregnancy, since everything is still embedding deeper and deeper and the blood has to go somewhere when it does. As long as it's scant and brown, no need to worry. I feel such a sense of relief for now. I know that by no means does a good u/s at 7 weeks guarantee anything, but it's further than we got last time, so that just feels like a big milestone. I'm just going to take day by day and week by week and hope for the best. My first regular OB appointment is next Monday, and I have to wait a whole 5 weeks until the next u/s (December 30--that sounds so far away!) I don't know if I can stand the wait! Oh well, I'm just going to enjoy being happy for now :)

Yeah, Kim! I remember my first u/s at 7 weeks too and seeing that flickering hb was the best feeling in the world. I hope you have many more great appts and milestones. Congratulations and enjoy!

Hi Kim,

So glad everything looked good at your appointment today! I agree..5 weeks is a long time to wait! If only they made special weekly arrangements for all of us PALs! :) What a great gift heading into Thanksgiving...that precious little heart beating gives you lots to be thankful for! :)

Hugs,

Kim,

That's great news! Congrats! Good luck with the appointment on Monday. (Mine is the same day.) I think the holidays will help the 5 weeks go fast for you.
