Congrats Bonnie!
I found the h/b too this weekend. I looked lower also and it was right above the hairline. Mine was pretty high in the upper 160's and at the highest was 170. It was such a nice sound :)
I was also wondering if I should tell the doctor. Why do I kind of feel like I'm doing something wrong? It's not like I bought my own u/s machine or anything ;)
I'm so happy for us and our healthy little beans!!

I am absolutely THRILLED that you found it, too!
Congrats Bonnie!! That's awesome!
My sister-in-law mailed me a sort of "dopplar" thing this weekend.
Hello Bonnie,
YAH, I'm so glad you found it, I knew you would.
Music to your ears!!!
YAY! Congrats! That is so exciting! It's a relief to be able to find that little galloping sound when your mind is racing with negative thoughts and worry. I LOVE having a doppler! Your doc won't mind. I have told mine each time and they thought it was great considering I am someone who needs some extra reassurance. There are still some days when I can't find the HB very easily-- and that's common until the baby gets bigger. But also, this baby moves a LOT! He was moving on the U/S like crazy and if you hear a lot of noises on your doppler that sound like a record needle scratching off of the record, that's the baby moving. It's hard to chase down the HB when they can't stay still!
Congrats again! I'm glad things are going so well for you and the little one!

Congrats Bonnie!! WOO HOO! Gotta love those dopplars! :)
I asked my Dr. about it...I just told him I rented one and asked if there was a such thing as "too much" use or any dangers to baby. He told me to "use away!" that there were no concerns over too much use.
