Is anyone going to get a doppler for home? If so do you recommend just renting one or buying one off of Ebay?? Which ones are best??

Thanks!

Hi,

For my last pg (ended in m/c) I did rent a doppler from the advice of a friend who was PAL. I did like having it, although I never got to hear the heartbeat. The company I rented it from was Heartbeats at Home. They are a wonderful, caring company. When I had to return the doppler due to m/c they were very nice and gave me my money back. I think that having one can give us PAL's a little piece of mind as long as you are careful not to obsess....that has been known to happen :-) I will probably rent one this time, however I will wait till 10 weeks. I will be past my "milestone" from my pg last time at that point and also most people cant hear the heartbeat until somewhere between 8-12 weeks, depending on your abdomen and your baby's growth and position.

Good luck!

I rented one this time - I got it around 9w after having an u/s at 8w that looked good (I found the hb around 9.5w).
