Well, can I just say how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE my doctors. I met with the doctor who went through Hell with me last year. She is great. She is the one that had to tell me all the bad things regarding Kelsi. She also delivered Kelsi.
Anyway, first thing we did was a run down of all the lovely complications I have to look forward to. That took us about 1/2 an hour just sitting in her office. It sounds like this may be my last baby. :( I am really really sad about that. But I trust her whole heartedly.
She is going to be very aggressive with my treatment. I am currently on 60ml of Lovenox...normally people would start out on 40. She said in a few weeks they are going to bump that up and it will probably be bumped up again a few times in this pregnancy. She made sure I knew how serious some of the complications are that we are dealing with. Particularly the Rh Antibody. They really can't do anything about it until 20 weeks at the very earliest...and even then we would most likely loose the baby. :( So we are really hoping that Dh gave me a baby with negative blood type this time. :)
I already have to do a 24-hour urine sample...those are so much fun...NOT!!! But I am used to them. It will be so they can get a baseline for the protein. They have to really watch it since I had Pre-eclampsia so severely and so stinking early last time.
I have appointments every 2 weeks right now and depending on how soon things go down hill they will go weekly...but she is hoping that isn't until 24 weeks. It looks like they will reduce my work schedule if my blood pressure begins to go up...and today it was 120/80. It really shows that I haven't been to the gym in two weeks. It is normally a bit lower than that. But this still wasn't too bad.
She did an ultrasound. She took her time and said the baby measured perfectly. I saw two little arms, legs, a heart, the cute little head with a brain. I LOVED it. The baby's heart rate was 171. Just perfect.
She also gave me a Rx for Phenergan. I just took it about a half hour ago and am waiting for it to kick in. I hope it does the trick.
I go back again on the 31st and I have the nuchal translucency test on Feb 10.
Thanks for all your well wishes. I appreciate them. I really hope I get to bring this baby home with me. I am so nervous. But I know there isn't much I can do. I am so grateful I have such wonderful doctors. Now all I have to do is remember to breathe. :)
