What would you do?

OK, so I went to my first OB appt on this past Monday and everything went OK, you know just the usual pap, and internal. Well we talked about the cerclage and he said it would be done the week of March 6th (which will be my 14th week) And I totally understood, but he acted like this isn't high risk and basically said see you in 4 weeks for your next appt????? I got so mad taht I called around and made an appt with a different OB, one that was recommened to me by someone else who has had problems and lost a 2nd tri baby. Do you think I am doing the right thing? I am just so confused and I want a doc who is gonna monitor my cervix before it is too late!! I mean I couldn't carry one and now I am carrying 2! Well the new doc wanted me to bring my records but I don't think I am going to, I am going to explain that I want him to know my story personally not just by my records and if I decide to switch to him then I will get my records sent. I am also dying for another sonogram to see how big my babies have gotten and that they are both doing good!!! Let me know what you guys would do in my position, and if you were me would you think you were high risk??? Thanks

Gabi...
I would (if it were me) get a copy of your records sent to the other doctor.
I think Wenz said it GREAT! It doenst hurt to get a second opinion, then go with whomever makes you feel more comfortable and secure.
Being high risk is scarry enough... you wanna feel secure in your doctor selection.,
hugs and belly rubs to you!
I completely agree with the second opinion.

I agree with everyone else, getting a second opinion would be good. And having your records faxed to the new Dr. would be smart, just because there is sometimes a lot in the medical records that we don't explain. It would be good for the Dr. to get the medical info on you AND the personal info on you from you in person. Having a Dr. you feel comfortable with and who listens to you is incredibly important, now is the time to switch if you want to! Good luck.
Gabi,
I am pretty much in agreement with what the others have said. I would most definately send your records to the other doctor. They need to know the medical background also. If this is a second opinion, he already knows you are uneasy about something in the practice you are already in.
Good luck. It is so important to have a doctor on your side that you trust. That is why I had to fight so hard to get into the doctors I am currently seeing. Sometimes it is worth that fight and worth changing docs.
Many hugs, much love and lots of luck. Let us know how it goes.

Maybe you already have done this, but I would first talk to your current Doctor about your feelings.
