second beta: I *think* I should be happy

Hi all,

Well, I finally harrassed my doctor's office enough to call me back, and the physician's assistant said my second beta numbers were "appropriate," which is what she said about my first beta. Can't they use words like "perfect" or "fabulous" or something that makes me less nervous?? She didn't give me the exact number, but between Wed. and Fri., they increased more than 60% (that's between 24dpo and 26dpo). Give it to me straight: does that sound ok to you?

I have an u/s scheduled for Thursday -- I purposely chose later this week because I lost my angel at 6w1d, and I want to get past that milestone.

I do think everything is fine, but I think I'm really looking for someone to *promise* me everything will be okay.

Thanks and hugs,

60% sounds good. I hate it when they won't give you a clear cut answer. It sounds like they're increasing. They are supposed to double every 48 to 72 hours is what I think I remember being told. I'm sure you'll feel much better after your u/s on Thursday. Good luck!

I'm not an expert on numbers but I do hate when the doc is evasive or vague. :) I'm sure your u/s will be fine! Good Luck!

Andrea,
Everything is going to be great! I'm sure your #'s are too...those nurses, or whatever, are just huge PITAs. God forbid they actually sound positive about something. Ignore it!
Wishing you all the luck at you 1st u/s! Let us know how it goes and I will be thinking about you!
