Hi Ladies,

I am in such a great mood today I just had to share!

Dh and I went to our first appt with our new OB and we LOVE her! She was wonderful. She talked to us about all kinds of stuff and reassured me over and over. We talked about all kinds of my silly pal fears (you guys know what I am talking about!) and she gave me alot of good information. She said that if I am feeling worried or anxious to just come in, I don't have to wait for appt's. She was all about reassurance. I go in for an U/S tomorrow to date the pregnancy. I had 2 u/s's at my old office, but the new place wants to do one of their own. My new Dr also talked to me about incompetent cervix (just another of my concerns) and because I have had abnormal paps with a colposcopy and biopsy as well as cryotherapy and a D&C she said that they are going to have me come in about every 3 weeks to measure my cervix to try to be really proactive in preventing that! Isn't that amazing. I had just talked about my history and she jumped right on it! I was AMAZED!

I have to say that I am happy knowing that I have found a Dr that knows that I am worried, her sister had a loss so she has experience with the emotional aspect, and is willing to give that little extra us PAL's need. YAY!!!

The one bummer today - I caved in and rented a doppler. I rented one that said as early as 8 weeks, but we tried it and weren't able to hear anything with it :-( I hope all is ok, it is just too early or bean doesn't want to be heard right now :-)

Anyway - I hope everyone is doing well! HUGS!

I'm glad that you appointment went well and that you like your new doctor. That makes such a different for us PALs. Don't worry too much about the doppler...many times people don't hear the heartbeat until 12 or 14 weeks.

It's great when you like your ob. Especially since you're going to be getting quite close these next couple of months! That's one less thing to worry about! Sounds like your appointment went great!

Don't worry about not being able to hear the baby's hb. Sometimes they face your back and when they are that small the doppler won't be able to pick it up. Are you looking right around your pelvic bone? That's where a lot of people find it. :) If you still don't find it I'm sure your doc will be able to find it at your next appointment. and you will be able to hear it at the next u/s. :)
