Wonderful 10 week appointment!

I had my first "real" doctor's visit yesterday and it was wonderful. You won't believe how hard I prayed before I went in. I was preparing myself not to hear the heartbeat with the doppler since I was only 10w2d. I had a feeling it might be too early. But I tell you what - God must have known I needed it because the midwife was able to find it fairly easily! I definitely cried happy tears. Is there a better sound in the whole world?
Everything else looked good as well. We spent a lot of time talking about tests (I'm 35) and the decision to have another C-section (she thought it probably was a good idea because I could not push my DS out). She also prepared me to take the glucose test at 18 weeks as well as 28 weeks. Ick! I know why they want to do it that way, though. My DS was 9lbs,9oz and there is some worry that I really did develop gestational diabetes with him that went undetected. I've actually had the same thought, although I really think he was that big because he was two weeks overdue. I guess we'll never know.
Well, that's the scoop. Happy, happy, happy!
