Hi my friends,

I had my first official OB visit this morning, and another early u/s. We saw our little one and his/her steady hb. It's really amazing how much they grow in two weeks -- you can now clearly see his/her head, body and tiny hands!

I have a new OB, and it was a pleasure to meet him. He put me at ease about this pg, and was very understanding about my anxiousness. He'll try to hear the baby's hb with the doppler next visit (12w), but is more than willing to do another u/s if need be.

My doctor reiterated that after confirming a healthy hb at 8w, mothers are 95% likely to carry to term. I know it's not a guarantee, but it's one more sigh of relief.

Hugs to all,

Andrea ~
Congrats on a great appt! It's so amazing to see them really looking like little babies at 8 wks isn't it? I'm glad you like your new OB, it sounds like you will be well taken care of. I hope you get to hear the hb loud and clear at your next appt!!

That is wonderful news! It sounds like you have a great OB. Any OB that is willing to do u/s's to give you peace of mind (mine is like that) is the best in my book. I'll bet your OB has an excellent bedside manner. The ones that are willing to do all they can to ease your mind, usually do.
