For symtoms, I finally have sore bbs, still extremely tired, and peeing more often.

I seriously don't want anyone to think that we are trying to isolate ourselves or anything.

IMO, I think there should be a 1T, 2T and 3T chat in the appropriate sections so those in that particular trimester can share there symptoms, concerns, testing, etc.

Cassi,

You never know what can happen trust me!! My DH was happy and surprised, the nurse turned and said to him "are you alright"! We just laughed at that one!! I will be praying for you that you get your heartbeat or heartbeats!

Oh by the way, the age thing... I was reading that they said that women over the age of 35 have a higher rate of twins, but that is not always the case. Do you have twins in your family? I was told that Fraternal come from the Mother, they must have them on their side to have Fraternal twins, so I don't know anyone on my side, so I guess mine will be identical but they won't know that until after the babies are born..

Let us know how it all turns out!!

That's true...you never know till you see the screen. :)

I have twins on both my mom and dad's sides. I know on my mom's side at least one set is identical, but I can't remember any fraternal. They are mostly distant or really old relatives I barely know. Since my sister lost her twins early on, we never found out if they were identical or fraternal.

I am so glad your DH handled it well! I think when you have a loss, you just want a healthy baby whether it's one or two, boy or girl, etc. But that's got to be exciting for you!

Keep us updated and hopefully I will have a happy update for Monday.

I'm getting kind of worried about the lack of update from Becky too - but she usually posts late at night, so who knows?

Best,
Cassi

I have always heard that fraternal twins were from the mom's side too but it was passed to her from her Dad. I always thought that was really wierd but something about since the deciding factor of the gender of a child comes from the dad alot of the heritary traits also are based with the dad's x chromosome.

Funny story for you all. Since I have been pretty much in denial about this pregnancy my hubby has been very considerate and asks NO questions and only discusses anything when I bring it up. Last night he made some comment about his school work load for this fall/winter (he's pursuing two different bachelor's degrees from two schools while working full time). Anywyas he said somthing about one of them finishing in November. I said that was good because he will still be plenty busy in December. He gave me this strange look. I said you know little person. And he was like Oh so that's when your due. Apparently in all my denial, I have neglected to even tell him when I was due and since he doesn't track my cycle he didn't even know what month let alone what day. So all of you have heard about my due date for over a week now and my hubby is just getting clued in. Oh well.

Does anyone have Becky's phone number that they could call her? I know she is out west so it's not as late there but it just seems so late that we haven't heard anything and I too am getting worried.
