I thought I would get up early this morning so I wouldn't miss the morning rush....and then I realized it's Saturday.

Jen, I am with you in the weird dreams department. I think I dream crazy stuff all night. Last night I had this involved dream about fixing up hiking trails in the mountains. What?? Anyway, we have also missed out on sex since conception. Ugh. I feel a bit guilty about my anxiety (DH is just waiting for my cues) but now since his surgery he's not going to be interested for a week or so. Perhaps after that I will feel okay to try.

Meanwhile, still feeling ILL. I am really starting to be worried about my lunch interview tomorrow. How am I going to hold it together and be an attractive employee if the aroma of that particular restaurant sets me off... or order something and then can't eat it.

Oh, I have a theory. On days when I drink a lot of water my breasts are sore.. when I slack off on the water they are just a bit tender. I have tested this out and it seems to work.

Ugh. Going to lie down. The croisant was a bad idea.

Jen, are we the only ones around today?

My BTDT experience was that my gut feeling was wrong. My DH and I were sure that Frost was a girl. We had a name picked out and everything. Imagine teh shock at the 19 wk u/s when there was a penis in there. We both had to adapt and I am glad we knew in advance because I felt I "knew" the girl baby but the boy was a stranger!

Anyway, he's the cutest so I am glad (even as i hear a thump from the bathroom where he has probably thrown the soap while washing his hands).

I know what you mean about the illness. I only get close to actually throwing up when I am doing a #2 on the toilet, cleaning my teeth or if I drink OJ + vitamin before food. Then I really retch and have almost-thrown up a few times. Mostly I just gag a lot and can't eat. Then if I find THE RIGHT THING (ie, panang beef) I eat a ton. Today, nothing is working and I might try ...oh, ANYTHING at the deli. I better go and try that now before the 2 horus of teh birthday party with only cupcakes.

I feel terrible as well. I have no idea how I'm going to function at work. There should be a law against first tri ladies that states that we don't have to go to work if we don't feel well enough.

If you figure out how to keep it together during the interview let me know. I have similar situations coming up that will last throughout the day next Wednesday Thursday and Friday.

Interesting sore breast theory Shannon. Since all I can really keep down is fluids I suppose I'll be wearing my sportsbra to bed until I can't fit into it anymore.

Jenn, don't let those cutie dogs guilt you. They'll have plenty of fun when you are feeling better. They can just chill for awhile. It's good to do that sometimes EVEN if it is a dog.

I haven't been able to keep anything down, not anything of substance anyway. I'm trying to eat healthy, or at least I was. Now I'm just trying to keep some calories down no matter where they come from. DH is cooking me some rice. So I'm going to try that. Just plain old rice. Maybe with a little soy sauce. It'll be the most substance I've had all day.

Hope you feel better,

Peggy

I need some PAL support. I am worrying now that since my morning sickness (puking & nausea) seem to be gone (at 9 weeks), this means something bad. Please reassure me. I still have very sore bbs, am tired, and my uterus feels heavy and I have a definite preggo belly. But with my missed miscarriage, things quit developing and I still felt pregnant because my body was releasing pregnancy hormones still. I had no warning that anything was wrong until the ultrasound that showed our little bean had quit developing weeks before.

HELP!

Hi Jenn
I think that the sore bbs, tiredness and belly sensation are good signs. I agree its a little on the early side for m/s to abate but I am sure there are many women who have a similar experience. When I had a relatively late m/c ALL my symptoms went at once, not just the nausea. I also had a missed m/c and with that the nausea remained.

When was your last u/s? If you can't overcome your worry... you can always go in for an u/s h/b check. I am sure it would provide relief.

Thanks for your reply, Shannon. My u/s was at 6w3d. So nearly 3 weeks ago. I'm trying to just be happy that it's gone, I'm sure everything is fine this time, but being a PAL you kinda second-guess everything, don't ya? I've never had a "natural" miscarriage, so I can't relate to the TP-checking, it's kinda worrisome to not know if you could've miscarried without knowing, KWIM? (Not that one kind of m/c is worse than the other!!!) With my daughter the m/s didn't stop till 12 weeks, but then some people don't get m/s at all, and every pregnancy is different they say. Maybe this one's a boy and I'm just less sick because of a different gender/different hormones, etc...

Thanks again, I just needed to talk about it!
