Thanks Tara, I needed that. :) Does your post mean the u/s went well this morning?!! I'm hoping by "pic" you mean a little black and white photo of the bean! If so, I am so excited for you. The t-shirt idea is absolutely adorable - please send pics or details on their reactions!
Carolyn I am in exactly the same boat. I ate some avocado on toast last night and then was bloated and ill. I tried noodles for lunch and can't stand the thought of it again. Now, I am facing breakfast and can't think of ANYTHING to eat. It doesn't help that the kitchen is a mess. I have to keep trying new food because anything I've eaten makes me feel ill to think about it.
If everything is okay the RE said I can have the u/s today on a disk. I don't have a scanner so its a digital camera or nothing for me. Anyway... fingers crossed. Shannon
I'm counting down. 36 minutes and I get to start my weekend. YAY!!!!! I'm very excited. I'm also very excited because I love to eat Pub food. I love Pub food, what more can a girl want!!!
Saying congrats to all the ladies who had wonderful appointments. I have mine on Monday at 9am. I can't wait.
Cyrstal: I'm sure you are celebrating your weekend by now. Congrats on making it those last 36 minutes. When the weekend gets that close you can practically feel the seconds go by.
All: I'm finally feeling better. I think the good u/s today helped tons. Also, DH surprised me with flowers today. And he bought me mac and cheese which I've been wanting but normally never, ever eat. And let me tell you girls. It was good!
DH has been such a saint. He even surprised me by being home when I got home from work. What a keeper!
My sister is coming over tonight to clean my dishes and make me some dinner. Don't know if I'll want to eat again today though. I haven't had a full stomach for weeks so I'm kind of afraid to go there.
I'm freakishly excited about not feeling as sick as I did the last few days (weeks?). I would normally be scared about it because of the loss of symptoms but because of the good u/s I'm feeling good about it. I mean I can't lay on my couch for the next 5 weeks!
Okay, that's all from me for now. I was so happy to see all of the good appts today. I'm sure we've got nothing but blue skies ahead for ALL of us!
Please let us know on MOnday how things go. Iw ill be thinking of you. About a week ago my nausea quit and I was all worried, and then BAM the next morning I woke up and threw up. So much for worrying! I'm hoping things are just fine in your tummy, and that you're worrying for nothing. Do you have any kids already or would this one be #1?
Thanks for the birthday wishes -- it turned out pretty good, and I didn't throw up all day which was awesome! I had yummy strawberry shortcake (w/ angel food cake and real whipped cream) for dessert and it was so good I had seconds!
I'm going to try my doppler again tonight. We're 10 weeks tomorrow -- yay! I lost my baby at 10 weeks last time, so I can't wait to get over this hurdle. (Well, correction, we found out we lost the baby at 10 weeks, it probably quit developing around 6 weeks.)
This would be #1 for us. We got pg for the first time in October and found out at 10 weeks that it was probably a blighted ovum or died really early on and was reabsorbed. Today I am 10 weeks and I still can't find a hb, so I am trying not to get too discouraged, but it's hard. I wish I knew what a normal healthy pg felt like!
It sounds like our stories have some similarities - same due date and lost angels at 10 weeks. Hopefully we can both make it past our milestones and breathe a sigh of relief. I'm glad my apt. is only two days away!
I'm so glad to hear your b-day was a success! Good luck with the doppler and keep me updated. Hopefully you get the good present you deserve, just slightly belated. :)
Happy 10 weeks! We lost our baby in November, so just a month after you did. We DO have similar stories. Our ultrasound showed 2 sacs (1 baby was a blighted ovum, no fetal pole, and 1 had quit developing weeks earlier). It was such a hard time. I feel fortunate, though, that I already had Hannah as I can't imagine having a miscarriage with no child to take your mind off it and make you keep getting out of bed every morning.
You're a survivor, that's for sure. So at your appt Monday will you have an ultrasound?
We tried the Doppler again last night (9w6d) and no heartbeat. Hopefully soon!
Cass: My heart goes out to you honey. I know what that worry feels like. It can drive you out of your head. When is your appt on Tuesday? We'll all be rooting for you.
What helped me when I was waiting for my appt was to make a list of all the positive things I knew about this pregnancy. When the worry crept in, which was alot, I would read that list. For example one of the things on my list was: "this pregnancy feels different then my m/c, it feels more controlled".

Fingers crossed, Shan, but I think it will all be fine!
Yep, it's funny...the food that appeals one day suddenly becomes the next "gross" thing.
