Well my beta's are not going up in 48 hours, but they are going up!! My nurse talked to the doctor and he is very confident in the numbers and he feels that everything is fine!! I also feel very confident in the numbers and I know that it will be fine!!

So they are taking on avearage around 51 hours to double!

Please pray that this little bean is around to stay!!

On a plus note!! I have no cramping like AF is about to start and with my other two pregnancies I had that from the start!!

Hugs,

Jenn

Jenn,
That sounds great! I am crossing all fingers, toes, whatever extremeties I have that you have a sticky bean. I can't wait for you to be a mommy and I can't express to you just how excited I am that you are pregnant. You and Chris are going to be great parents!!!

Jenn, those numbers are great!!! 48 hours is only an estimated time for doubling and 51 hours is darned close to that. I'm so happy that things are looking good and I will keep praying that this little one is stuck in there for good... well, for 9 months that is. Keep that positive outlook! Hugs and belly rubs,

Stephanie

All that matters right now is that they are going up.

Hi Jenn!

Congrats! I think your numbers look great! And your Dr sounds very positive so I think that is great too. Just remember that not everyone doubles in 48 hours. Some take 72 or even more. If you are at 51 then that sounds PERFECT!!

Great news!

I think 51 hours is pretty darn close to 48 hours! Also, I have read in several places that the number doubles in 48-72 hours. When will you have your first ultrasound? I know that will give you more peace of mind than just your beta levels. I think you mentioned when it was before, but I'm sorry I can't remember.

Jenn,

I'm so glad to see you here! And I'm so glad to see your numbers going up so well! My midwife told me that they look for doubling between 48 and 72 hours, not every 48 hours...I think your numbers look great! I can't wait to hear more good news from you!

Hi Jenn,

I remember, with my betas, I wanted my doc's assistant to tell me my numbers were *perfect*. They were lower than someone else's on the board and I was so concerned. I think the important thing is that they are going up and you have your doctor's confidence. So know you have p&pt from me, but I think your little bean is thriving in there!

Big hugs,

Hi Jenn
I am glad the numbers are still almost doubling. I am not sure whether you know, but the whole thing about doubling numbers is something like 85% of viable pregnancies (defined as making it to 20 weeks) have doubling numbers. So, even if the numbers were not so close it would not be an automatic catastrophe. I've seen so many women who didn't get the highest or fastest rate of increase and must have been in that 15%

I am glad your doctor and nurse were so encouraging.

Shannon
