Anyone Else Having Nightmares?

I guess I am just hoping I am not alone on this one, but I have been having horrible, vivid nightmares since I got pg. I tend to have a lot of nightmares in general, but they seem to have increased and gotten more realistic (the realistic part I've heard is a pg symptom). Sometimes they are just generic bad things, but a lot of the time they are dreams about bleeding and losing the baby, which is strange because I never naturally miscarried the first time.
I am trying to stay calm for this little bean, but how can I when I wake up sweating with fear almost every night? I must sound like a whacko, but there it is!
If anyone else is experiencing this, do you have any suggestions to help? I try to tell myself over and over before I fall asleep that I will dream something positive, but it doesn't usually work.
Thanks for listening!

Cassi,
I have the same problem. My dreams are so weird, very real like and sometimes very scary. As a child, I had horrible dreams, my mother got my a dream catcher and it actually helped. I took it everywhere I went. Well, when Rob and I moved, I forgot to put it up, until the other day, and lets say, my dreams were terrible. Even with the dream catcher I still get crazy dreams, but their not so bad. I also noticed if I eat "heavy" foods (like apples and bananas) right before bed, my dreams are scary.
I hope this helps. You're not the only one.

Hey girly,
I can't say I have had nightmares but my dreams in general have been very vivid and crazy. I have had night sweats though???
Sorry I can't be more help but I hope they simmer down a little. I had my first beta blood draw today. I wish I could tell you the results but unfortunately I haven't got them back yet. Keep you posted......

So weird that you posted this today!

Cassi,
I started having nightmares before my 1st u/s. I kept dreaming that they kept telling me there is no heartbeat over and over again and I woke up crying. It was horrible. I hope I don't have it for my next u/s next week!

Thanks, I never thought of a dream catcher! I am willing to try anything at this point to trick myself into stopping these nightmares.
The food is a good suggestion too, although I don't think that's it in my case. Two nights ago I went to bed after a light dinner and had a horrible m/c dream. Then last night I went to bed after gourging myself on food, including spicy salsa and potato salad (gotta love the pg eating habits) and I had no nightmares.
But in any case, it helps to hear from other people that I'm not alone. And it helps to know they dreamt about losing the baby and went on to see heartbeats. I've never had dreams that came true really, but when you have them enough you start to wonder if your body is trying to tell you something!
Thanks for the help,
Cassi

I have vivid dreams sometimes too. If they worry you. Try to understand them! Here is a link that I've found useful.

The other night I dreamt I puked out (not easily either!) 3 gross looking and very angry eels. I think it is because I'm very angry at my sisters fiance for leaving her and I can't tell him how I feel. That anger turned up as eels. It's bizarre but makes sense.
