Please help?? Beta Info??

Hey girls,
I hope you can help? I know everyone is different but I was wondering what people's beta #'s were around 22dpo? My results were 1632 or something. I think mine seems low and I am really trying not to worry. My first beta test ever was yesterday. I go back tomorrow for my second. I really hope it doubles. the nurse said those numbers were about average for 2-4 weeks. I am almost 6??? I asked if this should be a concern and she said "not right now, we should wait for tomorrow results". Then she had the nerve to say that if the numbers don't double or start to drop that it's possible or most likely a miscarriage. We haven't even got the results and she throwing around the MC word. Not cool!
I know I am so new to all this beta stuff but for some reason I just have a weird feeling. UGH....maybe I should go get acupuncture today and calm the "%$^&@%" down???? I just hope this all ends in something great. I am soo scared to go back down the other road. I'm not sure if I can go throught that again? Thanks for listening!

Hopeful,
Melanie

Hey Melanie, try not to worry. It's true that the number itself that matters really, it's just as long as it's going up properly. I found out after the fact that my numbers with this preg were considered low but here I am at 14wks1day and going strong!

As for the nurse mentioning a possible mc, I think they kind of have to do that to save thier own butts, KWIM? Like if after you asked if it was something to worry about, she said "No, don't worry, it's probably fine" and then heaven forbid something did happen...you'd be like "But you told me it fine!".

Melanie!

Hey sweet heart!! Take it easy and try to relax, because my numbers are a lot lower than yours and I am doing fine!! I found the below on the internet, so I thought that it might ease your mind!

Thanks Steph and Tara,
I just had to have a little minor melt down. I have taken a few breaths and I am calm again. I guess this roller coaster never ends. My milestone isn't until 12 weeks so I am going to try and relax until then:) I appreciate all your kind words and thoughts. Thanks so much!

Melanie,
I have even heard some of the girls say that there #'s didn't double but increased and there doing fine. My numbers last week didn't double between the 1st and 2nd draw but then doubled between 2nd and 3rd draw. Try to relax, I know easier said then done.

Oh Melanie, I am so sorry for the scare! I know it's impossible, but try not to worry because my first # at 9dpo was 16 and my dr. acted like it was a definite miscarriage. They made me wait an entire week and gave me all this advice on what to do if I started bleeding beforehand. But my # jumped to 648, so it can be done. I think they just say that because they become numb to it and rattle off the worst case to cover their bases.

Plus, their averages are based on LMP weeks and not your actual ovulation date. And there are a lot of women with low #s who are fine. I may have told you this story before, but my mom came out negative on dr.'s BLOOD tests with every pregnancy because her #s were so low, and that was well after missing her period.

Take deep breaths, schedule an acu appt and remember we're all here for you!

Lots of luck,
Cassi

I can't thank you girls enough! Like I said before I totally just had a minor melt down. I think just the thought of having an MC rattled me. So I left work early and took a nice little cat nap. I feel much better now:)I also want to thank the girls who gave me the chart and the links. They are very helpful. You ladies are the best and I am very thankful to be able to vent somewhere. It's hard when you don't have people to talk to about it other than DH. I don't want him worrying also. We have decided not to tell anyone yet or at least until there is some sort of confirmation.
Luv you all.......

Melanie
