Better than a heartbeat!

Well, I went in for my Doppler check, and the nurse said that based on my due date from the first ultrasound (which I disagree with), I wasn't quite 10 weeks yet. Much to my surprise, she said she would just do a quick ultrasound instead because it can be hard to use the Doppler before 10 weeks!
Girls, I cannot even describe the happiness I felt when I saw our little baby on that screen. It looked so different than 3 weeks ago, with an actually head and arms and legs. I'm getting teary just writing about it. At one point, the baby jumped way high, like from the bottom of the sac to the top. A few seconds later, it waved it's little arm. So cute! The baby measured at 10W2D, which is actually a day ahead of my dates. The heartbeat looked great. The nurse said that everything thing looked perfect and I had nothing to worry about. She said this baby is a keeper :)
Unfortunately, Matt couldn't be there. This appointment was really on short notice, and we thought it was just going to be to hear the heartbeat. I feel guilty for seeing the baby without him, but we have the NT ultrasound in only 2 weeks. That one will be more longer and more involved, and he will definitely be there for that. I called him immediately afterwards to tell him, and he sounded especially happy when I told him the baby waved its arm. He said he knew everything would be fine, but he was happy to hear how good everything looked.
I have a cute photo, but I'm having some technical difficulties right now with that. I'll post it later, but I didn't want to wait to share this news with you :)
