Wonderful news, Becky -- yay, baby! Keep on thriving!
I do know what you mean about the u/s being surreal. Even though I can feel this baby partying in my tummy ;) I still marvel that I'm really pg! A healthy baby, a younger sibling for DS (or your DD) -- it's an amazing blessing, and I think it's natural that it be a little overwhelming (in a good way).
Know I'll be thinking about you and waiting excitedly for your next u/s!
Congratulations Becky, I'm glad to hear everything went so well. I'm still very guarded about this one too. With all of my other pregnancies by now I'm be dreaming about when baby arrives and thinking about how to handle child care in the hospital and help when I get home and all that other ordinary positive things that go with having a baby. This time I haven't done that at all. Haven't thought about December other than to realize that hubby will be in the middle of finals. Haven't even looked to see what day of the week I'm due. In some ways I'm still in a bit of denial (not about being pregnant) but about whether or not I even dare think that far ahead. It's definitely a get through today type of living. I know I should be more excited but it's so hard to get one's hopes up because I just don't know for sure that things will work out. Even though all the tests have been fine and statistics are on my side it's still hard to open up my heart like that again. Ah the life of a PAL. I think it's pretty normal to worry and I think we all do it. We're half way to second trimester. I think it will be easier then.
