Aww...that is so cute. I'm sure she'll love being a big sister, until the baby gets older and starts grabbing her stuff anyway. :)
My little 4-year-old nephew is the first and only grandbaby, so he is VERY spoiled by grandma and papa. The first time I got pg, he was very excited and wanted me to name it "Racecar." This time we haven't really come out and said it yet, but when my mom asked if he wanted to visit Aunt Cassi and the new baby, he said "NO - she has to keep the baby at her house and we will not go see it." My mom thinks it finally clicked that a new baby means he's no longer the center of our universe. And he is not happy about that!
You'll have to let me know how the 2-year spread works out for you though. I always thought that was a perfect amount of time between babies, but with how stressful this pg has been, I'm thinking a 5 or 6 year spread will be just as good. LOL
Best,
Cassi
Ha ha - Racecar!

Tara,
Very cute! I can't believe how big she looks now! Hannah is excited about being a big sister. Yesterday she said, completely out of the blue, "New baby in mommy's tummy come out pretty soon! I be big sister!"
Awww, how cute is that???!!!

WOW Tara your daughter looks so much older than in your siggie. Man they grow fast. Sounds like you had a terrific time telling everyone. Congratulations. Now you don't have to hide it anymore. Yay!
My nephews are 2 years apart almost to the day. The older one liked the idea of a younger brother but when the little one arrived he had some adjustments to make. He did do a little biting and such or at least tried but that only lasted for a few weeks maybe two months tops.
After awhile the older child will accept the younger one. I mean, what choice do they really have. Once it sets in that this is going to be a permanent situation they'll fall in step pretty easily.
Just two cents from a lady that doesn't even have one kid yet. Plus you didn't even ASK for opinions. Aren't I just too kind to go babblering what I think everywhere. Ha!
Anyway, my intentions are good. So, there you go...
Tara,
Your dd is so cute. What a great idea!!! I hope to steal the idea someday soon!

Hey Peggy, you can go right ahead and give me as many cents as you want!!!!
