I'm sorry I was MIA this weekend - but thank you all for your support and positive thoughts. Reading them really helped me survive the wait! And BIG congrats to Peggy and Shannon since I didn't get a chance to properly say it earlier.
Well, I feel like I should be jumping up and down, but I'm saying a reserved "yay" because everything went fine today but it went by so fast I haven't really processed it yet!
I got in early like they asked me to and I had to fill out a depression survey for how I've been feeling for the past week (as part of a clinical trial on depression and pregnancy). This was not a good time to do this since I had a horrible week, so the dr. took one look at my results and freaked out. Apparently no one told her I talked to the nurse practioner about spotting last week. After giving me a mandatory speech on the availability of social workers, they had me do the pee test. So in my nervousness I tripped on my pants as I went to sit down and ended up dropping the entire cup into the toilet! I was so humiliated and when I called the nurse in to explain what happened, I could hear DH snickering in the other room.
When all was finally said and done, the dr. decided to do an u/s instead of a doppler reading, which meant I had to wait for the machine to become available. After 15 minutes of waiting, the dr. got impatient and "stole" it from a physician who was taking a long time. So she basically wheeled it in, showed us a blob and we saw the flickering heart for a couple of seconds while she measured it, then it was out the door and the whole thing was over. She didn't measure it to the day, but said it was definitely 10 weeks and she also said the heartbeat was ok, although she didn't seem to be using a tracker. I guess I just have to stop being so paranoid!!
Now that I know everything is ok, I will have to email my newest blob pic and belly pic to Becky for posting. I don't get to come in for another month (oh the agony), but in two months I get to do the "big" u/s for the sex and it happens to fall on my EDD for my m/c. Hopefully that will be a nice way to commemerate that day.
Thanks again everyone - especially those who made it to the end of this post. :) Here's to a happy Monday at last!
Love,
Cassi

Congratulations Cassi!!

Wooo hoooo! One more PAL gal gets a reprieve. That's terrific Cass. So glad to see this good news.
Oh and as for the clinician not measuring with the calipers for length and such well, usually they do so many of them that they can tell without the tools. So feel free to be confident in what you were told.
I'm also glad you got the u/s machine snaked from the doctor who was hogging all the fun.
Cassi,
I'm so happy that your u/s went so well!
