I think it would be the best to tell her on Wednesday when you know it's 100% good news, but if you think it will be too hard to keep it from her while she is visiting or that you will have to make up an elaborate story about the procedure on Monday, then go ahead and tell her on Monday. Whenever you tell her, I think you should definitely give the ultrasound picture in the frame. That is a really cute idea and will making the telling her very special. If you tell her on Monday, just focus on all the good news you have gotten so far and tell her you have one more test on Monday to confirm that everything looks good. That's what I would do anyway. Hope that helps!
Molly, that is a really tough decision. For me, I have preferred to tell the people closest to me, like family and some friends. I was worried that I told too early last time, but having the support when I lost my angel meant the world to me. This time, I told my family and a few friends again. It has been amazing to have these cheerleaders behind me, reminding me to think positive, etc. It's a very personal decision, and I wish you luck in deciding what to do.
Molly, that's so cool that you have a lab, too! How big is Kona? Carter is 105lbs of love! His mom is 100lbs. It's crazy though, because he's actually slightly underweight. The vet told us that at 110-115 he was a 5 on a scale of 1(underweight) - 10 (obese). He said labs tend to live a lot longer if they're more like a 4, so he had us drop his weight.
Anyway, love that you love his name, too. Carter is named after the drummer of the Dave Matthews Band. And my husband's name is Chris(topher), so we seem to have very similar taste!
OMG Molly, your pups are so cute! I obviously have a soft spot for Kona. :) She looks so much like Carter! Our breeder told us that showdog labs have the boxier face/frame, whereas the field/hunting dogs have the long and narrow nose and leaner frame. Carter has primarily showdogs in his line, but she did breed his mother with a dog with some field traits. She said she wanted the pups to have the looks of showdogs, but the brains of a field dog. Whatever works - we just love him to pieces! He's just a little over 3 years old. We got married 3-1/2 years ago, and we said we'd wait about a year to get a dog. We lasted 3 months before we started looking at breeders. Carter was home with us soon after!
Hi Molly!
Hi Molly,
I certainly haven't been through losses like yours, so I understand your caution, and your husband's.
Molly,
Wow each time

Honestly, I told my mom as soon as I got off the phone with dh on the morning of my first +HPT.
