I finally found hb too!

I had the worst day Friday, so I figured it couldn't get any worse if I tried the doppler again and found nothing. But instead I found the baby, tucked near the pubic bone (just like Jenn said) on my left side, pumping away! I counted the rate at about 168, which is the same as my dr. reported. I was so excited - even more so than my last u/s for some reason! It was amazing to really it hear it and know that's where the baby is - I can't stop rubbing that spot! The best part was calling my parents and letting them listen over the phone. They didn't realize I had gotten a Doppler, but they were too excited to chide me about ignoring my dr.'s orders. :) My mom even started crying and said she couldn't stop thinking about it all night.

To top it off, that night I had a very vivid dream that I brought home a beautiful baby girl. She had dark hair and blue eyes just like DH and I was so in love with her. The dream became pretty funny because I accidentally "lost" her at one point and found her on the floor with the dogs licking her face, but that's a whole other story. LOL

When I told my mom about the dream, she got very excited even though she's not the superstitious kind because she had a similar dream when she was pg with me. She had lost my brother as a newborn a few months before, so my dad was a nervous wreck about the pg. But in the first trimester my mom had a dream about a baby girl that looked exactly like how I turned out, so she knew everything would be ok. I just hope this is an equally good sign. :)

Happy dreams for all,
Cassi

I'm so glad you were able to hear the heartbeat on Friday, and I bet it turned your day into a good day afterall :) I bet that dream is a sign that everything is going to be fine with your baby, and maybe it really will be a little girl who looks like your husband!

LOL

Well, like any PAL I am just hoping for a healthy bean of any variety, but it did get me excited. My family and DH have all been convinced this is a boy from day one. Even I was starting to believe it, but now I'm not so sure. :)

Thanks for reading my long post anyway - I just haven't been so positive before and it feels good for a change! Thank goodness I can check the doppler periodically when the feeling fades.

Best

Cassi, that's so cool that you found baby's hb!!! What a great sound!!!

I laughed when I heard about your dream becuase I too had a strange one last night about a baby GIRL! Except in my dream she was 2 days old and I hadn't fed her yet AND I forgot her name!!! People kept asking me what her name was and I just cried!!! LOL!!! I think all those hidden fears about not being good parents creep out through our dreams!!!! Don't worry, you aren't alone!

Congrats again on finding the baby!!!

Cassi, that is great news! I'm sure it sounded absolutely beautiful.

That is so cool about your dream, too. I really believe that dreams can be prophetic during pregnancy. With my angel, I didn't have a single pg dream. I only had one nightmare, where I wiped after peeing and the tissue was soaked with blood. With this pg, I'm having pg dreams almost every night. I can't even begin to tell you how reassuring it is!

Continued happy dreams to you!

Thanks everyone for sharing the excitement with me - and thanks for the warning Jen-ay. I am going to find it again tonight and it probably would've freaked me out if it wasn't in the same spot.

Steph - your dream was hilarious too! I had a similar feeding issue in mine. The reason I "lost" her in the first place was because I realized I didn't know how to breastfeed and was looking up tips in a book. It's so funny how we are already subconsciously worrying about these things.

BTW, you're going to do the big u/s soon, right? Are you planning on finding out the sex? If so, you have to let me know so I can test my "dreams as a gender predictor" theory :)

Amy - keep up the happy dreaming. I did have a really scary bleeding dream before I found out my hcg levels and a lot of nightmares in general, but those have gone away recently. Hopefully more of these happy one are still to come!

Congrats on the hb!

As for the dreams, since I can't get any in real life until week 13. My only shot for a big O is to have a nice vivid sex dream! It's already happened twice in this pregnancy and only one or two times while not pregnant.

Come on big O fairy, send us all nice dreams!

HA! I'm not restricted thank goodness, but I'll take those kind of dreams anytime! I've heard for some reason pg women have really intense O dreams, but I'm still waiting to see if that's true.

GL with your adventures. :)
