I'm glad to hear everyone had a great weekend. I know I did, except it so hot I thought I would just melt.
I had my first OB appointment today. It was a really good appointment. The doctor found the heartbeat right away and she said everything looks great! She was very pleased. It hit me on my way out that things are going great and I shouldn't worry at all. Easier said then done, but I'm so excited about my appointment.
I hope everyone has a wonderful "short" week at work.
Lisa -- Stay as long as you like. Sounds like you had a rough go of it on the anniversary. Hopefully that 15 week milestone will blow by and ease your mind some. It's tough being a PAL sometimes.
Jen-- Positive healthy pup vibes coming at you...
Crystal -- Moving up in the world with your OB appt huh? Good for you. I can't wait for my OB appt. I had to push it out until June 13th. Nuts.
All -- My cat has to go to the vet today. The good news is I get the afternoon off to do it. The bad news is she seems uncomfortable. I think she has earmites. I hope they can give her some rockem' sockem' stuff to make her feel better.
As far as my pregnancy goes I still get sick every morning but generally other then being tired I feel so much better then I did in week 6-8. Hope the m/s stays at bay.
I still don't have many cravings. While I'm waiting for those to kick in I think I'll have myself a fudge bar =)
Okay, so here's an update on me. I just got home from my 12 week OB appt (hadn't been in since 6 weeks). We heard the heartbeat right away, and the baby moved while we were listening so that was neat. My doctor said that there is very little chance of losing it at this point, now that we have a viable baby. So that was a bit of good news. Nothing bad happened, but I am still frustrated and feeling a little low. I have gained 8 pounds in 6 weeks. He thought that was too much. He said they like to see about 1/2 pound/week in the first tri. In a way, I'm not worried because I started 10 pounds less with this pregnancy than I did with my daughter, so even if I gain 40 pounds again, I won't be so big at the end, but it took me so long to lose all the weight (40 pounds + 10) after having her that it's been kind of a thing to me not to gain so much this time. I need to start walking but it hurts! Do you gals find that you're achy and sore when walking?? How much have you guys gained so far?
I'm sorry if I am coming across as shallow or ungrateful for this healthy baby, it truly was a good appt, it just made me feel like, "Oh no, here we go again with the stressing about weight gain..."
I'm so happy to hear about your wonderful appointment. I'm on cloud nine with you. I also had a great 12 week appointment.
I'm sorry about what the doctor said about your weight. I'm also having an issue walking. I can't go as far without taking a break. Rob (DH) told me I waddle when I walk. I wanted to punch him. Also, I've only put on about 3-4 pounds. I thought sure I put on more because all I do is eat. I'm sure your weight gain will be right on target. Don't beat yourself up for it. Okay!!!
I would not concern yourself too much about the weight gain. I have found out that the doctors stress you more than need to be. My Perintologist wants me to gain 24 lbs in 24 weeks which is a lb a week, and I am 13 weeks now and I gained 7 lbs so far. Everyone gains weight differently and you will be just fine. I also have pain when I walk and sleep. My hips hurt so much at night I can't stand the pain. I know since I am having twins my uterus is growing at a much faster rate, but sleeping is becoming a big issue with me. I guess the babies are just telling me that I will never sleep again!
Don't stress, take it easy and drink plenty of water!!

Hi Jenn--
When I'm pg, I tend to actually lose weight, because I'm actually eating healthier and better choices.
Jenn,
I would not concern yourself too much about the weight gain. I have found out that the doctors stress you more than need to be.
