I got mine thru babybeats.com and LOVE IT !!! (even kept it a few months longer than I thought I would). Their customer service is amazing. I went for the upgraded model that had the readout- - makes it 1000x easier to figure out what you are hearing.

Also, they sent a nice rebate to Bonnie, whom I said referred me.

Julie,

I also have the one with a digital readout from beabybeat.com. I absolutely love it and couldn't possibly survive without it. Its even better than the one in my ob's office. Its so easy to use and its easy to tell the difference when you're picking up your own h/b as opposed to the baby's. I've never used any other kind, so I couldn't give you a comparison, but I would highly recommend baby beat.

Seems like tons of the PAL gals have these dopplers. I don't know anyone IRL that has one. And it doesn't seem like the PGATTC board has many of them either. I think people would look at me funny if I got one. Not that I would care.

But I also thought you had to have a prescription for these??? I read that somewhere anyway. The article said that lots of doppler places send out the machines for rent but aren't doing it legally cause they aren't requiring a script.

Anybody know the truth to this? I don't think I'll be getting a doppler. It would help my peace of mind but I rationalize it this way...if I miscarry again, the doppler won't help that. And my peace of mind gets better and better as the days go on anyway.

So no doppler for me...That's not to say I'm not a bit jealous of all the doppler girls out there.

Sounds like babybeat has some great machines with lots of happy customers.

No, you do not need a Dr's note or a prescription to rent a doppler.
