I got so teary eyed I have been so worried and then I felt movement and then heard the water swishing so I knew for sure that was it not to mention I have felt it before a few times ;-) almost 10 weeks pretty early but I will take it. I also ordered some more maternity clothes feeling much more confident. Okay I am only going to be positive from now on!!!I Plus i found a new Doctor and I am really excited about that too! I

I popped in for a quick NP visit today - for some doppler help and also to discuss bloodtest results.

Apparently my doppler is not that sensitive or I am a complete clutz with it because the nurse put it on my belly and the heartbeat was there loud, clear and constant at 160ish. I couldn't believe it.

The only worrying news is that I am not immune to Fifth's disease (parvo) so will need to be careful about that when I work with kids or in the classroom at our co-op. Wait, that's only in September so I hope to have many months of comparative safety!

It looks like I'll make it to 12 weeks this Sunday!

Next monthly OB appointment is June 20th and the amnio on July 5th.

Julie: I didn't feel pregnant until about week 6. So hang in there girl!

Tara: I once thought I actually had a heart attack. It hurt so bad I couldn't even move! I thought I was dying. When I talked to my doc she said, "Next time you feel that take a Tums." LMAO! I never considered that it would be gas. I'd guess that gas is what you had as well but it is odd that it lasted for so long. Did you take an antacid tablet?

Jenn: Congrats on getting through your milestone today. I'm really pulling for you!

Stephanie: I really like the extra buddha coverage on the suit you posted. I'd like for my gut to not be hanging out at all =)

Shannon: You should get a ticker for your amnio so we can all count down with you. So glad you got the doppler thing figured out now.

Sandi: Welcome aboard. I hope you enjoy all that eating. I still can never figure out what I want to eat because most things sound awful. And once I hit week 6 nothing would stay down. I hope you don't go through that! Keep eating girl!

I'm just chilling out this weekend. DH is out of town. My sister is currently driving back from Chicago. I'll bet we'll hang out this weekend. Should be nice and relaxing. This will be more first full weekend without horrible morning sickness so I'm kind of excited about it.

Merry Friday everybody!

Early on I had the metallic taste going but it sort of morphed into this kind of "I need to brush my teeth" kind of taste which was awful. It certainly didn't help with the m/s.

It's good that you got that nice dark positive. My tests started out really light and got darker. During my m/c pregnancy the test was semi-dark and lightened up. That was my first clue something wasn't right. Glad you won't have to deal with that.

FYI: The board is always quite on the weekends.

Hello girls, Shannon you are 12 weeks YEAH!! My m/s has seemed to calm way down and I seem to have a bit more energy, my house could certainly use the help. I am so discouraged I have gained a ton of weight! I am even more upset cause i have been eating really well. I cant even eat sweets besides fruit and nothing really greasey. The most I ever gained in any of my pregnancies was 28 pounds. I have already gained 14pounds!!!! I also work full time on my feet running around its not like I dont get exercise. I am hoping it has to do with my thyroid that was a huge problem and then not enough of a problem to do anything about ugh!! Hopefully the new Dr. will actually listen to me. I am getting so discouraged I am ready to get a bike and bike to work everyday but as clutzy as I am I dont know how well I will do with it with this belly in front. Anyway thats my gripe for the day, How was everyone weekend?

Steph
