That was so nice of your friend to give you baby's first outfit!!!
Molly,
I am so very happy for you!!! This is it!! You are going to be holding your little man in 193 days!!! I am so very happy for you!!!
Jenn
Congrats!! What a great pic!
I have to ask, though, how do you know it's a boy? Is this purely gut feeling (which I've learned tends to be right anyway) or did you actually find out because of the CVS? I can't remember how that all works.
Best,
Cassi
Hi Cassi,
We know it's a boy because of the CVS (the test genetically tests the baby so we know that it's a normal 46XY karyotype).
<
I gotcha...right as I was writing that post I remembered you did the CVS, so I guessed that was the reason. I hope you enjoy your little man! Are you thinking of names yet?
I'll let you know if the gut feeling turns out to be true for me or not. Everyone else around me has a gut feeling it's a boy, but my feeling is girl. I honestly think people just confuse what they want the most with what their "intuition" tells them :)
Best,
Cassi
Cassi,
DH and I are thinking names and we seem to be changing our minds often.
<
Carter and Drew are two of my favs! We have close friends with those names, though, so they're out for us. The only ones we can agree on so far for a boy are Toby, Finn and Emerson. We're struggling even more with girl names for some reason.
I like the middle name as first name idea. My dad was John Walter and went by Walt, which inspired us to do the same thing. DH is a Robert Lee III, so even though we don't want a IV, we will probably make Robert the first name and call him by his middle. I think it's a great way to honor the importance of the name without making your son be the millionth Michael.
We are definitely finding out the sex, but not for another month. My friends and family are anxiously awaiting the results so they can start the mad shopping sprees. In some ways it would be nice not to know so the stuff would be more gender neutral, but in the small amount of shopping I've done, I learned it's nearly impossible to find anything neutral!
Lots of luck with your little man,
Cassi
